At Croaking Toad Farms we grow gourmet lettuce, spinach, and greens. The plants are grown 100% hydroponically without harmful chemicals or growth stimulants. We exclusively use only RO or rain water to grow with.

We grow all-year long in a clean and controlled environment to provide the best lettuce and green produce available.

Specialty Lettuce varieties include: Breen, Monte Carlo, Bronze Beauty, Solar Flare, Outredgeous, Forellenschluss, Truchas, and others

Current Spinach varieties include: Giant Noble and Bloomsdale

Were are always trying new varieties and welcome comments and suggestions.

Croaking Toad Farms is Currently Growing:

MONTE CARLO:

Dark green, compact romaine for an all-season mid-size head. Very attractive, uniform plants that are extra-dark green. Unique growth habit with savoyed leaves forming in a whirl.

Creamy centers with great flavor. Stores well in the fridge. ★ My FAVORITE ROMAINE : )

GIANT NOBLE SPINACH:

This is the giant of the spinach clan. Plants spread to 25 inches! Tender leaves are great for canning, steaming, or salads; for those who want quantity and quality. Introduced in 1926. Last a long time in the fridge.

SOLAR FLARE:

A showy semi-romaine lettuce splashed with many shades of fiery color.

Sweet, mellow flavor, great plain or as a mix with another romaine variety for a beautifully colorful salad. Absolutely delicious!

Produce for Purchase

Lettuce and Greens are currently available for purchase and pickup at the farm site or delivery is available for a small fee in the Yellowstone County area. The produce is cut at the time of purchase to ensure the utmost freshness.

Prices:

Lettuce: $1.50 per head (retail)

Spinach: $1.50 per bunch (retail)

Micro-Greens: $10 per tray (10X20 tray retail)
